Businesses these days have realised this fact and hence most businesses these days have a seperate technology division which is headed by the chief technology officer (CTO). However, IT comes with a cost - IT can hit a company’s bottom line badly, if not implemented properly. Since technology is both expensive and tends to become obsolete very soon, the cost involved in implementing and maintaining IT systems, is pretty high.
